Installation

Before Installation

Before fitting, confirm that the shape of the protector corresponds with your vehicle's rear bumper.

The installation surface should be:

• Clean
• Completely dry
• Free from dust
• Free from wax, oil and polish residue

Test-position the protector before permanent installation.

Installation Steps

1. Clean and dry the rear bumper installation area.
2. Position the protector without permanently fixing it.
3. Check alignment with the bumper and loading edge.
4. Install using the supplied mounting system.
5. Apply even pressure across the installation area where required.
6. Check the edges and alignment after installation.

Do not force the protector onto a bumper whose shape does not correspond with the product.

The facelift version introduced revised rear styling, including changes to the rear bumper and tailgate, so pre-facelift compatibility should not be assumed. 

The fifth-generation European CR-V began customer deliveries in autumn 2018, so 2019–2020 should not be included in this Mk4 Facelift listing.

This product is not a structural bumper component and is not intended as collision or impact protection.
